Letter from the
Executive Director

Dear Friends and Benefactors,

It is almost one year ago that you received the last issue of the Newsletter from the National Committee for the National Pilgrim Virgin of Canada. We have been very busy and have much to tell you. You will be interested in knowing that the Newsletter has been discontinued and you will receive instead The Fatima Crusader.

It is our purpose to expand this publication, if and when God and Our Lady bless our efforts with more workers, since there is much to tell you about Mary, Our Blessed Mother, and Her very important appeal to us all at Fatima. We are all aware that since volumes have been written on the message and significance of Fatima, one can hardly compress all the messages and happenings at Fatima into one talk when the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, blessed by His Holiness, Pope Paul VI, comes to visit you.

We are calling this publication The Fatima Crusader because we want to give you much more information not only about the travels of Our Lady’s Statue here in Canada, but also more about Our Lady Herself so that in getting to know Her better you will love Her more. And one cannot truly increase one’s love and devotion for Our Lady without at the same time increasing one’s love for Our Divine Savior who is Her Son.

Since the apostolate of the National Committee for the National Pilgrim Virgin of Canada is directly concerned with the Church-approved message and apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima, The Fatima Crusader will also bring you reminders and insights into this Maternal Message of our concerned Mother for us — Her children. We all need reminders and we hope that The Fatima Crusader, which we intend to send free of charge to anyone who asks for it, will serve as a reminder that She did appear at Fatima, and that She is depending on us to help Her save sinners from eternal damnation. For at Fatima She said, “You have seen Hell where the souls of poor sinners go — it is to save sinners that God wishes to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart.” Our Lady also came to save us from the unnecessary sufferings imposed on us by unjust systems of government that oppress and persecute millions of people in the world today.

Yet the world around us seems blind to the fact that temporal and eternal happiness are possible. Our Lady tells us that by amending our lives and serving God we will have peace and happiness, during life on earth and in Heaven after death. Serving God is a pleasure and a joy — His yoke is easy and His burden light. The world cannot give us this peace and happiness. Our Lady at Fatima came to remind us of the Gospel — the Good News — the Word of God which brings true peace, true joy, and true happiness.

But since the hour is critical She also came to warn us that we must listen to Her, if not out of filial love for Our Mother, then at least out of prudent self-interest. If we ignore Her, we do so at our own collective and individual peril. Human history is not only subject to the free will of men but also to God’s providence. Through Fatima God is warning us, despite what our press and T.V. may tell us, that the world is in a serious crisis and we are on the brink of destruction. Let us therefore heed Fatima before it is too late. It is up to you and me. If you wish to do more work for this apostolate, please write me for more information.

God bless you and may Our Heavenly Mother keep you close to Her Divine Son.
